1996
In mid-1996, Alice (from xAutocontrolx), Ariel (Confort Supremo vocalist ), and Emilio (drummer in Eternity), decidde to get together with the intention of forming a band, driven by their desire to express their ideals, and formed what would be the beginning of Sudarshana. In this new project the band never played live because of rapid lineup changes and other reasons. From the dissolution of that band was born Sudarshana.
1997
After several months of trial and the odd live performance, 6 songs were recorded in the first independent production of the band, "Sacrifice". This cassette was a boost to the band and was well known in the h/c and local sXe scenes.
1998
In 1998 the formation undergoes some changes of members, and they did two recordings – “Remolinos de dolor” and “Simple y Natural”, and playedat many local gigs.
1999
1999 would be a crucial year for the journey of Sudarshana, who had begun to build new material generating a musical evolution in the band. After some trials and that Luke and Paul (who had returned to play the guitar) left the band, once again, the basis of Sudarshana (Ariel, Javier and Emilio) were left alone. A friend offered to play, but didn't turn up the day of the show! Amid disillusionment and despair after so long, a friend Kiko offered to play a few songs with them to save the performance. People are crazed with the short duration of the show and eager for more.
After that performance, Javier and Emilio offer Kiko to play bass as a stable member. After a few rehearsals Kiko offered to play the guitar (which was his original instrument) and offers Eugenio (who had played in xRevelationx) to play bass.
After nine months without playing, Sudarshana debuts with Chilean band xAsuntox.
Next month, more songs were taking shape, but then Sudarshana suffers another sudden change in its new formation – Javier, for personal reasons, decided to leave the band.
2000
In 2000, they had the good fortune to open the stadium festival "Spirit Alive 2000", along with other important local bands. This event offered the opportunity of playing in a stadium in front of nearly 2000 people. Sudarshana had never played in front of such a number of people, much less knowing that it was people who did not even know of the existence of the band. It was a short set, but many people liked it, and was perhaps the reason they had to take the band much more seriously, despite the notable absence of Javier.
In July, they decided to record the items that were being written. They spent quite some time recording, mixing and mastering and at the end were 11 songs on the album “Reviviendo la emoción”. That was attended by Javier on guitar despite not playing live back then.
A friend of the band, Duende (owner of independent label Firme & Alerta), proposed a sampler with many local sXe bands and other bands, so Sudarshana participated with the theme “Invocando tu nombre”.
This issue had another owner of the label Pinhead Records, Maxi, interested in new material of the band. That was meant to be released under this label, and they agreed to the proposal which sadly never materialized. After months and months of waiting, the label "disappeared", and the disc was never released. Meanwhile, Sudarshana start playing live again, Daniel joining in 2nd guitar.
They did several dates in the capital and several other parts of the province, culminating with their first visit to Chile.
This was the first time that Sudarshana crossed the border to do a show. They were 2 dates: one in Valparaiso and another in the city captial, Santiago de Chile. In this show, shared with Asunto, Fuerza de Voluntad, Silencio Absoluto, Vadca y Nos independencia, the great public acceptance resulted in a very emotional moment, bearing in mind that Sudarshana was barely known there.
The year 2000 ended up playing beside No Fun At All (Sweden), having shared shows with Catharsis (USA) and Fuerza de Voluntad (Chile).
2001
2001 started in a very positive way, sharing the stage with Good Clean Fun (USA) in January, and then continuing with the mixing the new CD. In May and of independently edit “Reviviendo La emoción” on the label Firme & Alerta. With the new disc under their arm, they did a lot of shows throughout the capital and surrounding areas.
He also touched on several important festivals, along with Good Clean Fun (USA), Point of No Return (Brazil), Fuerza de Voluntad (Chile), Dar a cada uno lo que es suyo (Colombia) y Rethink (Brazil). They also participated in the second edition of the festival "Spirit Alive" along with other local bands.
The second half of the year came with a trip to Uruguay, in Montevideo a date with bands of the local scene. A festival "Buenos Aires Peaceful Hardcore" alongside Massacre, Eterna inocencia, Cucsifae and Charly Brown. For this show there were changes of members, again, and this time Javier (who played in Collision Course) came to play guitar.
Then owner of another label, Mariano, had us edit our old independent production along with some new material. Thus 2 items which recorded alongside the other 6, making the 2nd CD, "Sacrificio". They played on a date with the band El Otro Yo, in the center of Haedo, in front of an audience that received them with open arms and gave them great inspiration.
2002
During the summer of 2002 they did a tour of Brazil, some dates around Sao Paulo, in the most important hardcore festival of Latin America, the famous "Verdurada". This was with bands from all over Brazil: Point of no Return, Confronto, Infect, y otras, Heaven Shall Burn (Germany) and Sudarshana.
That show with 1000 people present was an amazing experience, with very few copies of our CD distributed there. That same day they edited “Reviviendo la Emoción” under Brazilian label 78 Life Records.
They also played in other cities near Sao Paulo, Sao Roque and Guarulhos.
In April they presented "Sacrificio" with another label. This was the last date that Sudarshana did with this lineup. Then Javier, the founding member, was back playing guitar. With this new lineup the band works throughout the year 2002 until October of that same again suffer a further change of members...
2003
Now the formation of the band is as follows:
Ariel (Voice) - Javier Casas (Guitar) - Javier Suarez (Guitar) - Matias (Bass) - Emilio (Drums).
Thus the banda is consolidated to meet all their commitments ahead, planning a new tour of Chile, shows on the Atlantic coast of Argentina, gigs in Buenos Aires and the centre of the country, and most importantly of all ... The recording of the third album, which would take shape in early 2003. They would also film the first video clip of the band "Invocando tu Nombre"; which would be presented at the legendary Teatro Arlequin to 400 people. In that same year the band share the stage with bands like Asphix, Restos Fósiles, Fantasmagoria, Ni Idea and others, and a tour in which includes several provinces (Jujuy, Mendoza, Tucuman, Santa Fe, Cordoba, etc.), and two further visits to Chile.
2004
In 2004 in which the recording of "La Rebelion del Corazon" bringing together on an album the full potential that characterizes the band and all the progress since the last release. Thus begins planning a new tour that covers not just Buenos Aires, and the centre of the country, but also other countries such as Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay and Mexico.
And thus begins a new year for band...
Sudarshana supports and disseminates animal liberation and a vegan/vegetarian diet, and want to uphold the philosophy of living drug-free straight edge as a personal individual choice.
Sadly, after releasing the albim "La Roue de Fortune" in 2007, the band split. The members went on to bands like "Las Palabras Queman" (Krishnacore) , Nueva Etica (vegan straight edge) and Restos Fosiles (pop punk).
